EMDR therapy

Reprocessing traumas to regain balance and emotional well-being

The therapy

EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapeutic approach aimed at treating disorders linked to traumatic experiences or particularly emotionally stressful events. It is based on the processing of traumatic memories through alternating bilateral stimulation—visual, tactile, or auditory—which fosters the brain’s natural ability to reprocess information and reduce negative emotional impact. After one or more sessions, disturbing memories tend to lose intensity and emotional charge, allowing the person to integrate them in a more adaptive and serene way. Change often occurs rapidly, even when the traumatic event dates back many years.

Our approach

In our center, we use EMDR therapy within a personalized and safe therapeutic pathway, adapted to the specific needs of the person. Before starting treatment, an in-depth assessment of the traumatic experience, emotional context, and individual resources is carried out. The sessions are conducted by EMDR Europe certified therapists, with particular attention to the patient’s pace and emotional tolerance. The goal is to foster a complete processing of the experience, reduce associated symptoms like anxiety, nightmares, or hypervigilance, and promote a sense of well-being, balance, and emotional mastery lasting over time.
