Somatic therapies
Advanced neuromodulation approaches and targeted techniques in an integrated treatment plan
At Villa Santa Chiara, non-invasive neuromodulation treatments such as Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) are offered, aimed at facilitating the processing and integration of traumatic events. These methods represent an alternative or complementary approach to pharmacotherapy, particularly indicated in cases of resistance to traditional treatments or in the presence of specific clinical conditions, contributing to the improvement of the patient’s psychological and neurophysiological well-being.
Among the somatic therapies available at the facility are sleep deprivation, light therapy, transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). These activities are part of a personalized therapeutic pathway aimed at fostering neurobiological balance, improving mood, and supporting the reorganization of cognitive and emotional functions.
